Good news! We found for our upcoming meeting, two inspiring places to gather.
In the tradition of disruptive innovation we hired the entire top floor of the Linder Hotel in Antwerp (Lange Kievitstraat 125, B-2018 Antwerp). Because the Elzenveld is involved in a yearlong renovation process we had to look elsewhere. The transparent top floor is build on a trendy modern hotel, that not only looks contemporary but really is from this day and age. It is conveniently situated just next to Antwerp central railway station; but without the noise of the trains.
To honor the tradition of our meeting (as a matter a fact this is the 19th edition!) we found Restaurant August (Jules Bordetstraat 5, B-2018 Antwerp, firstname.lastname@example.org). A former Augustinian cloister, beautifully renovated, in which we will enjoy the conference dinner! The rewarded chef will entirely be at our disposal for this evening. Here we enjoy the hospitality of historical Antwerp.
More good news! The line up of speakers as well as the content of the scientific program is on the verge of finishing and it is stunning. We will inform you shortly in full but to give you a glimpse:
Prof Jim Westgard will speak, as well as Annette Thomas (from Weques), Anne Stavelin (from Noklus), Esther Talboom and Maarten Kok (from Saltro), Ivan Branslund and Ina Mathilde Kjaer (from SDU), Sharon Ehrmeyer (from UW), Stacy Walz (from Astate), Sten Westgard (from Westgard QC), Kathy Freeman (from Syn Labs VPG) and others. The final, extended program will be available soon.
Within POCT as well as the Central Laboratory many interesting quality things are happening, we will address many of those and try to strike a quality balance.
We hope to see you there. Please register already to make sure we are able to take care of you.
Lia Konings (conference secretary), Tjitze Dijkstra (conference manager), Stacy Walz (conference co-chairman),
Henk Goldschmidt (conference chairman).
